No — Seats works as a standalone app. But when combined with Compliance and Clubs, you get a unified customer profile that tracks purchases, club memberships, and reservations in one Shopify record. That's where the real power is.

Guided tastings have set menus, specific time slots, and defined experiences — like a 'Reserve Tasting' or 'Winemaker's Tour.' Open seating is for walk-in-style bookings where guests pick a time and show up. You can offer both simultaneously.

Events are included with the Pro plan. Create an event with a date, capacity, ticket price, and description. Publish it to your Shopify store. Guests buy tickets through your normal checkout. At the door, use QR code check-in. You pay $1 per ticket sold — no percentage fees.

Guests provide their name and email when booking, which creates or matches a Shopify customer record. They don't need to create a password or 'account' — it's frictionless for the guest while still building your customer database.
